a beach of a day

My sister was here for the weekend from London; we took her to the beach yesterday.

I suspect she'll enjoy going to the beach a bit more when she goes home to SA for Christmas in a few weeks.

It was about 6 degrees outside. But if we thought we were cold, I can only imagine the eejits who were kiteboarding in that weather!

It may be only mad dogs and Englishmen who go out in the midday sun, but who, other than Irishmen, would be out doing water sports in the middle of Winter?!

Looks kinda gloomy doesn't it?
Give me Cape Town's white sandy beaches anytime.

Beads - Glad u like it. It's quite diffucult getting nice shots when the light is as gloomy as it was then.

LiVEwIre - Well they're Irish which could be a whole new category all of its own hehe!

Chitty - Me too. Can I go home now please?

It does look beautiful. I was going to say that the guy must have been happy having the sea and the wind to himself, but that's probably the case all the time anyway, uh? ;)

Sort of reminds me of those dudes from Finland or Sweden who jump in the freezing water naked . . . fur FUN!

No thanks - Ben O.

Anne - You'd be surprised how many people here spend time on the water here. Not so much in it cos for people who live on an island, an awful lot of them can't swim.

Jason - A theory I chose not to put to the test.

Ben - I think it has to do with the lack of sunlight that drives people mad, or something... ;-)
